Workshop location

The Université de Liège is mainly based in the town center of Liège and on the Sart Tilman university campus, located about ten kilometres to the south. Psychoco is held at the main building of the university in the town center:

Public transport: Several bus lines make regular connections between the train station Liège-Guillemins and nearby stops "Opera" (bus lines 1, 4, 25 and 48) or "République Française" (bus lines 2 and 3). The conference building is only about five minutes walk from both bus stops (through the Rue de l'Université that leads directly to the Place du 20 Août).

The following hotels have special rates for Psychoco participants. Note: Rates are provided upon room availability, so visitors are requested to arrange their booking as soon as possible.

Ibis Hotel
Close to the conference venue.
Special rate: EUR 85 for single room, EUR 99 for double room. Breakfast and wifi included. City tax (EUR 3.40 for room and night) excluded. Public parking available close by (about EUR 10 for 24 hours).
Visitors are required to fill in and submit the reservation form before January 31, 2016.

Ramada Plazza
About 15 minutes walking from the conference venue.
Special rate: EUR 85 for single room, EUR 95 for double room. Breakfast, wifi and parking included. City tax (EUR 2.50 for person and night) excluded.

Pentahotel (former Hotel Mercure)
Close to the conference venue.
Special rate: EUR 96 for single room, EUR 112 for double room. Breakfast and wifi. City tax (EUR 4.20 for room and night) excluded. Parking available close-by (about EUR 15 for 24 hours).

Getting to Liège

The train station Liège-Guillemins is located in the town center and has regular connections to Brussels (and Brussels National Airport train station), Maastricht (The Netherlands), Aachen (Germany), and Köln (Germany - with Thalys). Information and timetables of the Belgian Railway service are available for national connections and international traffic.

Liège Airport is the regional airport located about 20 minutes from downtown Liège by car. Connections are also possible by bus line 57 (about one bus per two hours) and taxi.

Liège can also be easily reached by car with highways E40 (from Brussels and from Aachen), E313 (from Antwerp), E25 (from Maastricht and from Luxembourg) and E42 (from Namur and from Prüm).

Conference dinner

The conference dinner will take place at the restaurant Les Princes Evêques (Place de la République Française 41), next to the Hotel Ibis Liège Center Opéra. This restaurant proposes several traditional Liège meals as well as many Belgian beers.

Where to eat and to drink

The downtown area between the workshop location (Place du 20 Août), the Cathedral and the Boulevard de la Sauvenière is mostly pedestrian areas with lots of restaurants and bars. The famous area Le Carré (made of the streets Boulevard de la Sauvenière, Rue de la Casquette, Rue du Mouton blanc and Rue Pont d'Avroy) holds many bars open in the evenings and nights, a major meeting place for high school and university students.
